Emergency First Aid at Work - Level 3

The one day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is designed for individuals appointed as first-aiders in the workplace. It is a legal requirement to have a set ratio of qualified first-aiders in all workplaces within the United Kingdom. This course trains you to be able to deal with a casualty in the workplace and how to liase with emergency services to provide the best level of care possible.

Overview/Course Content

EFAW training gives the individual all the knowledge and skills required to deliver immediate life saving medical care to friends and collegues in the workplace. It also teaches you how to properly and effectivley deal with the emergency services and to maintain any First Aid kits and accident books as required by law in any workplace.

Syllabus Includes:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a First Aider

  • Scene Safety/Assessment

  • Patient Assessment

  • External Bleeding

  • Adult Basic Life Support and AED training

  • A Choking Casualty

  • Chest Injuries

  • Suspected Fractures/Dislocations

  • Other Minor Injuries
